Is this a Beaverton joke? "Homeless will spend cold nights sleeping in county council chamber."

I'm sure they picked the cheapest option. Will they provide cots, blankets? Are there showers? Will decent caloric meals be provided? Where will people go in the daytime? Where will they go mid-day should there be inclimate weather? Where will they go in April? This 'solution' misses the entire point that the region needs a 24/7 year round proper shelter. Good questions that never got asked at council. I think the county, that's the people in the county, not just the elected officials, needs to rethink what has to be done in the wake of the 310 Division St. debacle of the past year. A lot of money has been spent and a long of anger generated, but we're still left with no real help for those most in need. I was encouraged, and surprised, by the amount of support for assistance that was in the public comments. I hope some politician decides to get at the lead of that group.
