Art ! Thanks for the hospital build update & info about the years to wait before a new hospital in Trent Hills comes to be . Vote & send $200 to CMH ..is my motto .
Clearly this election is a slap in the face to the voters. I really hope people think beyond “Trumpish” stuff and vote for our future beyond the US.
He’s done some odd things that actually cost Ontario money that should’ve been directed elsewhere.
Eg. ROM, 403 highway, “EXTRA”millions from federal Government which was for Healthcare, changing name CCAC -2 times!!, Ontario Place, etc…too long a list of wasted monies!!!
The race in this riding is always between the Cons and the Liberals. Recently, the Liberals have seen momentum upwards, both provincially and federally. That means that our riding has a real shot of getting rid of Piccini. Mainstreet polling out today has the provincial Liberals jumping up 6 points, the Cons down 3 and NDP down 4.
Ford spent $1.4 billion on getting booze into corner stores. Part of that boondoggle would have gotten us a hospital. Nope. My $200 bribe, if I receive it and if it doesn't bounce (many have), will be going straight to the Liberal candidate for Northumberland-Peterborough South/Clark, Dorothy Noronha,who has a damn good chance of defeating Piccini. It's always been a race between Libs and Cons here.
Also, I believe the Municipality has been giving tens of thousands to the hospital for years (maybe not this year) for physician recruitment at the hospital. And look where that's gotten us. We had a couple of med students for a co-op few months.
Things things are just symptoms of the greater illness that affects this country. I highly recommended folks to deeper into what is actually happening and where this is all leading us.

My wife and I made the trip up the hill and gave our $400 to the hospital.
That's great. I see from a Star story that only half the cheques have gone out. I will continue to check my mailbox daily.
