I don't understand why Doug Ford thinks he should be playing the role of Captain Canada when he was elected to be Captain Ontario. Ford needs to focus on the major provincial issues of healthcare and education. Those who vote for Piccini are voting for Ford to continue ignoring us. Please do not vote the same as you always have if you know in your heart that doing so is not in your own self interest.

Full disclosure; I'm a life long Conservative and have never voted for another party.

But I won't be voting in this week's election, or I'll vote for the Blue Party Candidate.

While I share the view, that this is a needless waste of my time and our tax money I think there's another reason at play, rather than Ford simply wanting a larger majority. My guess would be he and his party are worried that, over the course of the next year, the leadership in the U.S. will cause Ontario undue pain and hardship. If Ford goes to voters now he gets to play his "Captain Canada Card." If he was to wait and Ontario was to lose jobs and opportunities, he would find himself in a defensive, somewhat embarrassed, position.

I hope you decide to vote. Changing party loyalty, even if it is just around this one election, gives you a double whammy with your single vote. Take your vote away, but don't waste it. Give it to someone who is more deserving.

To answer your question....Thumps down for me. I will Vote and it won't be for Ford. Anyone who supports Ford is against my people and my country and doesn't deserve Canadians votes! Ford was hoping and wishing for Trump to win....he and his family, even his dog... supported Trumps garb. Where do you think he got the idea for the baseball cap stating "Canada's Not For Sale? He has done nothing for this Country in all his time in office. Seven wasted years and billions of dollars....he continues to waste tax payers dollars! the money he spent on this election could have gone a long way to helping with housing, economy, health care etc.

Voting is a kin to picking the slave master with the softest whip. Elections, and democracy for that matter, is mob rule over the minority.

Voting is a joke, and for the same so is politics in any capacity.

I get your logic, but I always wonder who the people who couldn't be bothered to vote would have chosen. Just think of that great swath of eligible voters who chose, like you, to do nothing. Silence is no solution, especially for the minority.

To think that any vote actually makes a difference or that the system itself isn't designed to work against us is beyond naïve. If voting actually mattered they wouldn't allow us to do it.
