Santa arrives in Campbellford

Cars, trains, trucks, horses and sleighs bring cheer to town

Santa and Mrs. Claus road into town in style on Saturday.

It was a day for the young and old to kick off the Christmas season by celebrating Santa’s arrival in Campbellford on Saturday. He welcomed kids at the fire hall early in the morning, listening to their requests and hopes for presents, and having photos taken, then, he joined the long parade in the afternoon.

Later, families enjoyed a free Grinch move at the Aron Theatre, then joined dozens of others to sing Christmas songs and have some hot chocolate and Doohers’ Christmas tree cookies before the large tree was lit in the town square by the Campbellford Business Improvement Area.

The CDHS marching band, young Colts hockey players, Dooher's donuts running to catch their float, Legion representatives, Shriners in their 'cars', the main square tree and the lucky young boy who won the tree behind him.
