It is great that the council is getting involved a long with the County Planner. With a new council hopefully the Mayor will lead and be more involved than what I have seen in the past. MPP Picinii needs to be included.
None that anyone is offering for free. This land is being donated to the hospital. It seems like a good location and it's logical that the town would expand that way at some point. But loss of farmland is certainly an issue.
The consultants have said that whatever the ministry approves won't be big enough as soon as it is completed, that's their basic operating approach. Seems short-sighted and dumb to me.

Thanks for the info Art. I don’t think that 50 beds will be sufficient though. It should be at 100.
