Wow, he explicitly says he knows better than the public servants and should be able to intervene to pursue party political goals - it's impressive to not be competent enough to know that you can't say that out loud.
Before this council came into office there was a sign in the Municipal office window of a Canada Govt. Grant of 100,507 dollars for renovation of the municipal office, I have a photo. Then there was another Prov. Grant of around seven or eight hundred thousand for Covid that was spent on renovation to the Municipal Office. I don,t know if this is what the Prov. govt. had in mine for this money. There was all new furniture which according to the Mayor was stored in the basement of the old post office (municipal office). I don,t know if the latest grant was part of Picinni grant money. It would be nice to know if this latest grant is part of this money. I went to the Municipal office as I was told about the photo. This was the start of our request for money to repair the many water main breaks on Trent Island.
Art it would be nice to know if this is part of the slush fund or whatever fund that was administered by Picinni office.
In response to your comment about whether or not any projects were approved for Northumberland, I spoke with Piccini prior to the last election and he commented that Northumberland was carrying a lot of debt that made it unlikely to be approved to spend more. This was before his appointment to his current cabinet post. Unless Northumberland has gained control over their debts, (I can hardly believe I'm saying this) it seems responsible to not approve any more projects for them.

Thanks for keeping us up to date on things happening in Northumberland and beyond. Great article!

“The audit found the selection process was not fair, transparent or accountable." And does any of this come as a surprise?
Wake up people, they despise us. Period.
Good morning Art;
