Note: The first limerick I submitted to the Star when the scandal first broke. The second I've added in response to yesterday's Art-icle.

The Ford government finds itself in a pickle

Because the A-G in a report chose to stickle

She wanted to know

How it handed out dough

With a system not worth a plugged nickle

David Piccini is the man in the hot seat

Critics say there are ethical standards he didn't meet

He didn't fully disclose

The criteria he chose

So they want the minister sent back to a backseat

Please keep asking the hard questions!!

As the poll shows, most people don’t follow provincial politics or the news in general very closely, so I will keep an eye on this because I think it is of interest to local residents. At the very least, this is Piccini’s baptism by fire in terms of taking media heat. It could prepare him for a brighter future or it could mean he’s hit his career ceiling in politics.
