What has this present council done in regards to preparing for a new hospital and other health care on the property. The public has done more like the hospital auxiliary. The ratepayers running for another term should be ashamed of themselves. To me they are running for the money. Many rate payers took our Two hundred dollars from Ford up to the foundation, I wonder how many elected members of council did the same. Seen a ninty nine year old citizen at the post office in Campbellford soliciting funds for the foundation. So the challenge is out their I am sure Art Chamberlain will report their donotions.
Very relevant information that needs to be shared with property owner/residents- haven't heard it expressed so well as in your article today... Local candidates should be echoing your observation when you note that-
Ford likes to say he's never raised taxes BUT downloading "has meant increased pressure on property taxes to pay for these programs and services that were once paid for from provincial revenue sources" and, downloading may be the biggest impediment to local hospital project ever getting off the ground
Thanks for your continuing very important journalism and reporting
