No one can disagree with Trent Hills needs more health care. I would hope that elected councillors and Mayor start leading for a new hospital. I was told by an elected councillor some time ago that they should support recommendations by staff. It’s my opinion it should be the other way around. They got to slow up on supporting developers. The Nappan Island one that fell through. The one now at the top of Market St, road is half closed. Rumour is that the developer can,t sell the town houses built and is renting them out.that is built. The site is just sitting there. The Mackenzie property, one home built. I went in the Municipal office to buy garbage tags two bowels of pens. Is this responsible government. I worked for the Ontario govt and we handed out pens to workers. The last two administrators were promoted from within and other staff just moved up. This morning I drove by the old fire hall, ten municipal vehicles sitting there. I would recommend that the new council review the position of staff. With information technology how many positions have been eliminated. A retired worker said that dept. Heads got new names. Salary is given on their position and number of people reporting to them. Bravo for doing this! It was very interesting to read. This should be an interesting election, and I think most can agree that politics in general as a topic is engaging more people than ever. I hope this is reflected in the voting “turn out”.
